Change Syncloud Device password

Hello,

I have no experience with Syncloud yet, I activated my first device yesterday. Now that everything is working, I want to change the device password, not the Syncloud.it one, but I can’t find a place in the GUI or in the snap CLI.

Question: How can I change my device password so that all other apps, etc. also use this password?

Hi,

There few options:

  1. Reactivate the device from Settings - Activation
  2. Install users app and change password.

Hello Boris,

Thanks for the information. Just to make sure I have understood correctly. For example, if I install the Nextcloud app and change the password via the app, is this change valid across all platforms, including ssh access?

All apps use single sign on, yes.
SSH is currently set only during the activation and not changed if you use Users app.

Update
After installing the “Users” App from the Appcenter in the GUI, I was able to change the admin Password as Boris explained - very easy!!
The ssh root password still the old one from the device activation.
