Hi Boris & team,
photoprism cannot be installed. Restarted the machine → install try → logs sent.
Here follows what I can see in the console:
root@syncloud:~# snap install photoprism
error: cannot perform the following tasks:
- Run configure hook of "photoprism" snap if present (run hook "configure":
-----
Error: exit status 1
exit status 1
-----)
root@syncloud:~#
I believe that my instance of Mysql is crashed (see below) because few days ago I was able to install it. Then I have removed it because the machine was overloaded and I wanted to know what app was responsible. Now it cannot be installed anymore (machine already rebooted). Here follows the error. Thanks a lot for your support. Logs sent

install was successfull. NowI’ll try to restore settings…restore was successfull but I cannot access anymore with user and password (invalid credentials).
I’ll restart the machine, try again and send the logs
The machined cannot be booted anymlre. It is stuck on this, I can send only a photo:
Hi Boris,
reflashed the SD; reinstalled Photoprism; cannot enter the app: invalid credentials. I’ve tried both with admin credentials (main syncloud user) and with an additional user added in the Users app.
Note: Photoprism is clean, I’ve not restored it through backup, just installed and tried.
Logs just sent.
Thanks a lot for your help
update:
I was able to access through the command root@syncloud:~# sudo snap run photoprism.cli passwd [main syncloud user name]
Strange things you should investigate on, in my humble opinion:
fresh program (without restored data and configuration) on freshly flashed system;
the pwd I use for the main user is the same, why Photoprism didn’t recognize it? I have forced to change it to the same pwd and it works. Remember: yesterday, before reflashing the system, Photoprism was stuck on “invalid credentials”. It seems like that after your latest changes, something went wrong about credentials; I have reproduced this authentication error on a fresh Photprism installation. (note: I have reflashed the system because a major system error happened (see msg’s above) and it didn’ boot anymore. But I don’t think you will be able to reproduce that major crash.);
it seems like there is something “persistently stored” about the users in Syncloud and today itself I’ve found another problem on this. You can find it here
I hope that some of these information can be useful for the development of Syncloud. Thanks in advance
Did you send logs right after having login issues?
Currently there is nothing in the log about failing attempts, please send send next time. What you did to use clinto set password is a workaround which is not fixing the root cause and should not be used.
Hi Boris,
sorry for missing logs. Just sent them. Here follows what you will find in the logs:
removed photoprism
installed photoprism, just installation, no data/configuration restore
login attempt into photoprism → invalid credentials
Note that yesterday, before reflashing the SD card with a fresh image, I was stuck in the same situation after the latest upgrade of photoprism (198 if I’m not wrong).
