I tried with my phone and different browsers, I tried tweaking firefox configs (as stated here or here) but with no luck yet
I’m curious to know on which system/browser you managed to do that.

I used an Android Tablet - could be that I reinstalled platform before… but I suppose you already tried that
Thanks, I finally managed to get the app to discover the device and reactivate it.
Now I can connect to the system via accessing the device from the Syncloud app (which opens my browser and lets me accept the risk), but still can’t do that via my computer though.
I now run into the certificate rate limit error, so I will wait and see if everything goes back to normal in a few days.
At least now my Nextcloud desktop client can sync between the device and my computer because the desktop client lets you add an exception.
But I still can’t sync with my phone because the Nextcloud Android app doesn’t let you do that.
Are you really sure, the reason is the rate limit? I would like to know what rate was to high. It looks to me as it was an IP-Rate limit. I didn’t get the rate-limit error, after I forced to get a new IP from my provider for round about 45 minutes…
Currently I am working with exceptions too…
`*.[domain]`
this is wildcard domain and it will never succeed using Let’s Encrypt http verification, so after failing for some time it will become rate limiting your requests and repeat all over again.
You may try older versions of Syncloud image if you really want to stay on custom mode.
These or older may still work: Release 21.10 · syncloud/platform · GitHub
For those who have this browser error: SEC_ERROR_REUSED_ISSUER_AND_SERIAL
Try running these commands:
snap refresh platform
rm /var/snap/platform/current/syncloud.crt
snap run platform.cli cert
snap restart platform
Hi Boris,
I apply your solution .
68 unable to generate certificate: acme: error: 429 :: POST :: https://acme-v02.api.letsencrypt.org/acme/new-acct :: urn:ietf:params:acme:error:rateLimited :: Error creating new account :: too many registrations for this IP: see Rate Limits - Let's Encrypt {“category”: “certificate”
where is the log file where this error is logged.

FF said me :
pirboazo.net has a security policy called HTTP Strict Transport Security (HSTS), which means that Firefox can only connect to it securely. You can’t add an exception to visit this site.
The issue is most likely with the website, and there is nothing you can do to resolve it.
Are you using your personal domain name?
If yes you need a premium plan for certificate to work.
If you have that chack that you are on latest update in Settings - Updates.
Then check Settings - Certificate - Logs.
Hi Boris
I am surprise, i use syncloud since several year, with my own domain name.
I never need to pay a premium plan !!! 60 £/ year
I think you need to change this page
Pierre
Ok
So anyone can use it forever free and I think that is fair enough for the above page.
We are talking about a certificate for a personal domain. The only possible way to get it is to use DNS. We need to buy DNS zones per domain (Amazon at the moment).
I agree confusion comes from the fact that in past we tried to maintain a custom domain feature which would use HTTP validation (not DNS), but it is not possible as HTTP certificate validator does not support a wildcard certificate which means every time we add an app it will break your certificate. Not to say that it requires additional port mapped on your router.
So unfortunately we are switching to DNS certificate validation.
Another side of this Premium Services is it allows us to improve Syncloud, that is also I think a valid requirement otherwise we will have to shutdown the project.
Hi Boris,
I see my certificat is in error since we have append “Jellyfin Media System”
in the past i have supported you by a small donation and really prefer done that than have a recurrent payement.
My syncloud instalation with nextcloud and bitwarden is too important for me, i can not stay 3 weeks without nextcloud and bitwarden…
So as i not have the time to search how my DNS provider (infomaniak) manage the automatic update of the TXT record for the DNS-01 Validation.
I will take your solution : Premium
But i am afraid to break my email solution .
Could you integrate during several month the DNS record MX and TXT of the email ?
I not ready to go on email solution of syncloud in one days…
Pierre
PS : I apply the change of dns server… but no change on the certificate.

it 's like the ldap was not up !!!
After reactivation users are removed so you need to use Users app to create additional users with exactly the same password as it was before
After you do this you should see them in all LDAP apps. Nextcloud may need a file sync so users see their existing files:

Can you create a separate thread for this question please?
Hi Boris

I think i done a typo error during the activation of the device.
Thank for your help.
Good job
Pierre
I have to try to migrate my email too.
