Just updated to 1.16.1…  
It seems all is working well, but it shows tihis messages:  
2021-05-10 19:58:30: Syncthing should not run as a privileged or system user. Please consider using a normal user account.

Were you able to login? If you entered invalid password few times that is probably why.  
As to running under root that is how allow to sync any app files. You can dismiss it for now.

Yes, I am able to login.  
And all seems to work with Syncthing…  
Ok, I dismiss it
