Since there are now many topics in this forum but no categories, it is a bit confusing. It would therefore be helpful to have more categories. Here is a JSON suggestion of what categories there could be. The JSON file can possibly be imported automatically.

Maybe we will get too many categories, when creating a sub-category for every device or app and “tags” should be used instead, read here: [It’s Time We Talked About Tags](https://blog.discourse.org/2017/10/its-time-we-talked-about-tags/)

So for devices maybe just the brand as sub-category. For existing apps only tags.

I think it’s manageable what needs to be created. If you allow me as a moderator for a limited time, I can also create the categories manually (just a offer).

Hi @boris , thanks for the trust. However it seems that I would also need the following rights:

> Moderators can do that only if the `moderators create categories` site setting has been enabled. You’ll have to ask an admin to enable that setting from `Admin > Settings` after which you’ll be all set:

It works 🙂 I created some categories and started to sort the topics.

For Apps and Device it would make sense to have tags. However I can not see the option to create tags. So its probably disabled at the moment.

Hi @boris , I wanted to ask

- what would you think about to make categories mandatory? Otherwise people will mostly skip this part.
- What do you think about using “tags” for the “existing apps” and “device types”? If you enable the function for moderator role, I could add them.

Thanks! I have added some tags. Some of them are visible in [https://syncloud.discourse.group/tags](https://syncloud.discourse.group/tags) if they are in use.

I also grouped all existing tags here [https://syncloud.discourse.group/tag\_groups](https://syncloud.discourse.group/tag_groups).
