# Cannot receive email in Mail App

Might be a port issue? I thought Id try out the mail app so I could send invites to Nextcloud and RocketChat. I can send the emails (its really slow) but I can’t seem to receive any emails back in my testing im using myname@custom.syncloud.it address. I also tired replying to one of the emails I sent.

Yes, port 25 is required for receiving the mail.

I’ve created the mapping but incoming still seems to be blocked. I tried to run this (nc -vz [gmail-smtp-in.l.google.com](http://gmail-smtp-in.l.google.com) 25) via SSH but it doesn’t like the command. Ill call my ISP to see if they are blocking the port as well.
