# Bitwarden backup

I’ve enabled “Automatic backup” for Bitwarden: every night at 2:00 a.m. When I look at the files for a given day, I can see that more than one TAR archive is created—one every 5 minutes until 3:00 a.m.

All other apps create exactly one backup at 2:00 a.m.

Is this “works as designed” and special for Bitwarden 🧐
